Windy Peak FAQ

What level is Windy Peak for?

Levels 1 to 12. Past that, the mobs stop paying useful experience — move to Bear Area or Mistfall Harbor.

Which trainer is at Windy Peak?

Serpent Breathing (Obari), on the cliff above the village.

Which bosses spawn here?

Zuko (level 7 quest boss) and Akaza, who hides behind an illusory rock wall.

Which NPCs are at Windy Peak?

Krue (Bandit quests from level 1, Zuko boss quest at level 7); Raze (Weapon vendor — Regular Katana 500 Wen, Fancy Katana 1,500 Wen); Kona (Recover the Lost Pages quest, rewards the Book of Guidance); Kazu (Hostile Civilians quest from level 26); Moldy Sugar (Package delivery to the tailor in Mistfall Harbor (unlocks a rotating clothing shop)).

Is Windy Peak worth farming?

Mostly for the trainer: Serpent Breathing (Obari) unlock here. Otherwise the value is the mob level band (1–12) and the boss drops.

What level should I be before coming to Windy Peak?

Windy Peak is built for levels 1–12. Below that range, kills are slow and deaths are frequent; well above it, the mobs stop paying useful experience. The one exception: material farming and boss hunts are level-agnostic reasons to visit — the Beast Cores at Mistfall Harbor and the Demon Horns under the Bear Area stay relevant long after their mobs stop paying EXP.

How does Windy Peak connect to the rest of the map?

Spawn point — this is where you start. Fast travel shrines and a horse (reported 15,000 Wen each) cut the repeat trips — see the leveling guide's travel section for the full loop.

Where to go after Windy Peak

Bear Area (13–20) · Mistfall Harbor (10–25) · Hidden Mist Village (65+)

Farming and levelling at Windy Peak

Windy Peak carries 2 reported boss spawns, which makes it part of the standard boss farming loop. The area is built for levels 1–12: arriving under that range means slower kills and more deaths, arriving well over it means the mobs no longer pay useful experience. Match your time here to the quest markers — every named NPC with a quest line is listed above.

How Windy Peak fits the world route

Windy Peak is where every character starts, and it stays relevant longer than most starter zones: Krue's quest chain, Raze's weapon shop, Kona's Lost Pages and the Serpent trainer on the cliff all give first-session players reason to stay through level 12. Akaza's illusory-wall boss spawn also sits here, so late-game boss farming loops pass back through. The demon path branches toward the Demon Hideout from here — a path change, not the next levelling zone.

Quest chains and economy at Windy Peak

The NPC roster is the reason to detour here: Krue (bandit quests from level 1, zuko boss quest at level 7), Raze (weapon vendor — regular katana 500 wen, fancy katana 1,500 wen), Kona (recover the lost pages quest, rewards the book of guidance), Kazu (hostile civilians quest from level 26), and 1 more. Every named NPC marks a quest, a shop or a material source — talking to each one on your first visit is the cheapest way to unlock the services you will need later, because quest handoffs gate content in Slayers 2 more often than levels do. Boss farming note: Zuko, Akaza — chain them in one lap rather than making dedicated trips.
